COURSE RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT
We wish to ensure that all visitors to South Moor Golf Club thoroughly enjoy the day both out on the golf course and in the clubhouse. In order to ensure that your day and that of others is equally enjoyable we ask that all group organizers ensure that the members of their party conduct themselves in accordance with the following:-
Dress Code:
All golfers should be properly attired when on the course. Denim clothing, jeans, football/rugby and collarless shirts, and non tailored shorts must not be worn. Shirts should be tucked into the waistband. Tailored shorts may be worn if accompaniec with either knee length socks or short white sports socks. Spiked golf shoes must be worn on the course at all times. In addition to the above restrictions, within the clubhouse it is not permitted to wear baseball caps, training shoes, muddy or soiled clothing or spiked golf shoes (except in the changing rooms and related access corridors)
Course Etiquette:
We endeavor to keep our course and facilities in good condition for the benefit of all. We would, therefore, ask all golfers to repair all pitch marks, replace divots, and rake all bunkers after use. Please try and avoid slow play and keep up with the group in front. A 3 ball round of golf should take no more than 4 hours. All litter and empty drinks cans/bottles should be deposited in the bins provided around the course. The consumption of alcohol outside of the clubhouse is not permitted. All trolleys must not be brought on to the greens, tees or pulled into the heather on the course. When searching for your ball in the heather leave your trolley at the edge of the heather and walk to your ball. Please observe all signs and routes for trolleys.
Any individual/society member deemed to be in breach of a club regulation may be asked to leave the course or clubhouse
