After a great deal of work, we are delighted to announce that the club is to benefit from a grant of £23,000 towards improving our course entrance, practice facilities and various fencing projects.
The money has been awarded from Stanley Area Action Partnership, and is the result of 18 months work by James Handy and Guy Carr. We wish to express our thanks to the Partnership for their help in making the application a success.
The areas the money will be spent are as follows: -

All of the above items are as a direct consequence of our awarding of the Mcgregor Trophy. We will shortly be asking for people who wish to volunteer for the event running from 10th July – 14th July 2011.
We will require people to act as marshals’, help with parking, course rangers and spotters etc.. Event clothing will be provided to all volunteers.

Installation of these items will begin in the near future, we are also looking into other funding areas, to further improve practice facilities, and will report in due course.
